Iain and Liz McKenzie (Honduras, Central America)
Iain, Liz and Samuel McKenzie are sent out from the King's Fellowship in Inverness, and have been missionaries in Honduras since 2004. They are called to establish a new ministry with children. Working in partnership with the Cornerstone Foundation, which has developed a charitable hospital on the North Coast of Honduras, they have taken time to learn some Spanish and get to know a bit more about the Latino culture, and are currently developing a number of children’s services for Cornerstone alongside their hospital. A new purpose-built Children’s Centre is currently under construction and should be completed soon. They will take in local children in need, and will offer accommodation to some isolated children so they can access education. Also they will work with the medical side of the hospital to ensure children and parents can access medical services. Initially they will have space for 16 – 20 children.
